God's Gift To You

Have you ever traveled across country roads and found yourself at a cross road that had no signs, no road markers. No way of knowing what the road is or were it leads. Making the wrong decision may take you to an unexpected location or even get you lost.

For many, the road of life may be described in the same manner. You travel though life and come to a cross road, a point of decision. With no signs on the corner, to tell you which direction to turn, you make a decision based on your knowledge, what is happening in your life, what has happened in your life, whether you have been to that crossroad before, etc.. I think you get the picture.

Making decisions with out clear direction will lead you to a place in life that you may not want to go. A a place of sorrow, heartache and misery. It does not have to be this way.

God has a road for your life that will lead to a happy, abundant life. It's a road that is clearly marked. There is no second-guessing which direction to turn. It starts as the Romans Road to Eternal Life and leads to the road of the Living. A road that when traveled will have clear direction. That is, when you come to a crossroad or a turn in the road, God will give you clear direction which way to turn. What a difference it is, knowing that you are making a turn that will take you were you need to go. There is comfort in knowing God will always lead you in a direction that is for your good.

Are you traveling the road of the Living? If not, why not start today? Take time to start now by traveling the Romans Road. It will lead you to the free gift from God.

The Romans Road is not your typical country road full of curves, cross roads and other turns which will lead you to places you don't want to go. The Romans Road is a straight road that leads in one direction. To an abundant, eternal life with God.

Let us begin our journey down the road. There will be several stops to make, but don't worry the road is well marked along the way.

Romans 3:10 "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:"

Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"

These verses tell us quite clearly that we are all in the same category...we are all sinners apart from Jesus. We are sinners because we have broken God's law.

Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

According to the Bible, death is separation from God...our sin separates us from Him. Sin separates us from God in this life...and if we die physically, we will be separated from God eternally in the lake of fire that the Bible calls the "second death".

We are all sinners, we all deserve death...the wages of sin is death..."wages" being something we deserve...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. It is through Jesus, because of what He did for us on the cross...He paid the penalty for your sin.

Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

"Commendeth" here means that God proved His love for us...when we were not even thinking about Him...He was making a way for us to be forgiven and receive eternal life...Jesus paid our sin debt...He died in our place...He died in your place.

Romans 10:8-10 "But what saith it? The word is high thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Notice how close you are to salvation right now. This passage says that if we confess...if we confess that Jesus died for our sin...and believe that God raised Him from the dead..."thou shalt be saved". You see...the Bible says you will be saved if you confess and believe. Do you believe God wants to save you? Do you believe God will save you? Do you believe God will save you right now?

Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

This is the last stop. This verse tells us that whosoever calls upon the Lord will be saved. That means you. The decision is yours. Will you continue straight ahead and call on him or will you turn back. Please don't turn back.

Call on God now! Lord I am a sinner. I believe that you sent Jesus to die for my sins. Please forgive me for my sins. Come into my life and take control...
